Egypt's President says Iraqi Kurd's independence would be 'catastrophic' July 6, 2014 Reuters

CAIRO - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Sunday a referendum on the independence of Iraq's Kurdish region would lead to a "catastrophic" break up of the country, which is facing an onslaught by Sunni Islamist militants.

And so Sisi agrees with the prophet Jeremiah, who saw the Medes -- now known as the Kurds -- as drawing up battle lines as a nation to the north against the land of the Chaldeans -- modern-day Iraq -- and soundly defeating them and plundering their "treasures."

If the Kurds declare independence, the stage would certainly be set for this nation of the north, led by the "spirit of the kings of the Medes", to be in place, ready for the coming disaster of war foreseen by Jeremiah as one of nine judgments against "Babylon" leading to complete "desolation."
