Passion of Kurdish independence expressed in Helly Luv music video
If you want a glimpse of just how passionate the Kurdish people are about establishing and fighting for their independence, take a look at Kurdish electronic pop artist Helly Luv's music video "Risk it All", posted at youtube:
Although Luv works out of Los Angeles, the video, viewed over 2.5 million times [now 3 million 7-29-14] since its February 2014 release on youtube, was filmed in Irbil, Kurdistan, and reflects, as Luv puts it, "(a) message... that, Kurdish people, we need to risk everything for our dreams and fight for our country."

Iraqi-born Luv, 25, says she will not be intimidated by death threats from Islamist militants because of her video, but says she will "risk it all" to help push for an independent Kurdistan, according to a Reuters news report found at the Turkish news site hurriyetdailynews.com .
